Winter Break & Art Show!

As of yesterday afternoon im officially on winter break! Yay! My first semester of my senior year is complete and I only have one left to go, I cant believe how fast my undergrad studies have gone by. Next semester I have my senior degree project to work on, but i have all intentions to start shooting over winter break to figure out what i will be doing and having "test shoots" so that should be interesting.

In other news, my dean asked for a couple of my pieces to hang in the Winter Art Show over at my school! you can check those out starting Jan 7th and it runs until Jan 17th. 

Art Show And A New Photo!

As mentioned in my last post, Friday was Paier's Fall Art Show and to put it simply...even though as a senior and having the responsibility to hang and organize the show it was well worth it. Not only did everything look great but I got 2nd place! In first was Chris and third was Carl. My photo was one that I wasn't even considering putting in until we needed more pieces to hang!

In total I had 4 pieces hanging, all but one I had previously hung in City Wide. My newest piece, which i specifically shot for the show, i am particularly happy with. Not too shabby for being shot the day before if I do say so myself!

"Bird Of A Different Feather"

This was my last Fall Art Show at Paier and I couldn't be happier with how things turned out. My classmates did an amazing job and shown some amazing work, I couldn't be prouder. Its nice to see how far we have all come. It was also nice finally seeing some work of the newest freshman at Paier! They have some really great things and I was quite impressed. This was the last show for a while. Next show(s) wont be until the spring, one of which happens to be my Senior Degree Project, im quite excited.

Art Shows!

At the beginning of October I had the opportunity to hang in New Haven's City Wide Open Studios with my school and fellow classmates. My friend Carl and I shared a hanging space together and I was quite pleased with how it turned out. I hung a good chunk of my most recent work along with a photo I shot specifically to hang in the show (featured below!) 

After City Wide I've been focusing on school work and registered for my last semester of college. This Friday however, is Paier's Fall Student Art Show! Im not 100% sure about what I will be hanging but I have some last minute photos to take and print today.

Just a Little Update

Long time no update, which is a clear indication of where I stand on my 365 project. It failed this time around but I plan on doing one again once I get more time.

Since I last posted school has started up and im already super busy. I have an art show to prepare for at the beginning of October along with the student art show at the beginning of November plus all my school work so I will be a busy bee. As I shoot thought im going to keep this blog updated, as pretty soon my new website will be up and running! I've been working on it for a few days and i just want to make sure its perfect before I put the links up anywhere. I've also just put the finishing touches on my new business cards which im super happy with.

Over all good things are happening and I cant wait to share the outcome.
